The game

“Slalom Through the Stars” is a video game dedicated to the Boing TV cartoon “We Baby Bears.” For the concept and development of the video game, we took inspiration from an episode of the series and recreated in pixel art the scene in which the three Baby Bears fly through the sky inside a cardboard box.

The video game mechanic recreates a slalom that the three bear cubs must tackle while riding in a cardboard box. From top to bottom, the three cubs fall leaving a rainbow trail behind them, evoking the social phenomenon of the famous “nyan cat”.

To play, the user must steer the protagonists to the right or left to avoid stars and collect points during their free fall.

The video game was created for the Boing TV website and app with the aim of supporting the show by adapting the protagonists into pixel art in an engaging video game and increasing time spent on the client’s website and app.
