Who better than a video game can speak to students? Skuola.net and Unicredit know this well, which is why they entrusted Samuele Sciacca and Manolo Saviantoni of Dinobros with the development of the video game "University Escape," in collaboration with Niccolò Fransoni and Daniele Grassucci.

It is not just pure entertainment, but about achieving an ambitious goal: educating the new generations on the topic of money management through a financial education journey that looks more like Super Mario than a master’s in economics.

As for us, we had a lot of fun being part of a project whose main players were the student portal Skuola.net and the international banking group Unicredit, which have been collaborating for years on the Banking Academy project.

Through this ambitious project, they offer innovative solutions to promote young people’s financial education.

For our part, we brought our most important know-how to the project: the ability to handle even the most difficult topics with lightness and fun, with immediate and direct language, as well as our unmistakable 8-bit style.

What exactly did we create? With the video game "University Escape", students enter a space where they must face obstacles, but it won’t be enough to overcome them: they will have to collect as many coins as possible and answer questions on financial topics.

The video game is accessible from a browser, so it does not require any kind of download—just click and start playing, simple and immediate.

Once the avatar is chosen, you enter a game tutorial and then begin an obstacle course. The farther you go, the more you learn important notions such as recognizing scams, identifying fake news, and also discovering saving and investment tools and methods, of course while playing! So be careful: don’t lose any coins or you will fall behind.

The "University Escape" project is already a success; Skuola.net published data showing that over 20,000 university students have already improved their economic and financial literacy thanks to the experience with our video game, and even now, until the end of the exam session, it will be available to everyone, so go play at this link.
