Dinobros takes off and gets Spain playing too

We are a young, growing company, and with the video games developed for Boing TV, we have expanded our business beyond national borders. In this article, we tell you about the video games created exclusively for Spain and our other projects between Italy and Spain.

We are a young, growing company, and over the last year we discovered how wonderful it is to broaden our horizons, aim high, and truly believe in it.

It was already among our medium-term goals, but we didn’t think we could expand our business beyond national borders so soon. Yet we had the opportunity to work on truly interesting and exciting projects in Spain.

That’s why we want to share our experience with the video games created for Boing S.p.A.. It all started in August 2020 with the release of "Gumball Virtual Descent," the first Dinobros-branded video game available in both Italian and Spanish. From that moment on, all the video games we created for this client were designed for the website and app of Boing TV Italy and Spain. However, our story starts with the two exclusive projects created for the Spanish market, where we’ll introduce you to characters and shows that are not well known in Italy, and then we’ll also talk about some of the latest video games we created for Boing S.p.A., in Italy and Spain.

The video games created by Dinobros for Boing TV Spain

Our collaboration with Boing TV in Italy made this first step into the European market possible. For the website and app of Boing TV and Cartoonito Italy and Spain, we developed several video games that enriched the "game" section of both countries’ websites and apps.

The client’s positive feedback on our video games allowed us to take a step forward and be selected for ad hoc projects for the Spanish market.

This led to the creation of the video game "Toony A La Caza Del Meme", starring the YouTuber mascot "Toony Tube," with over 200,000 subscribers on the YouTube channel.

The next project, which we had a lot of fun with both creatively and in development, is "La Casa De Los Retos" (LCDLR).

"La Casa De Los Retos": from TV game show to video game.

A necessary premise: "La Casa De Los Retos" is a highly successful TV game show that airs on Boing TV Spain and has been included among the most successful television shows.

It is precisely from the success of the TV show that the video game developed by Dinobros was born.

"La Casa De Los Retos" is therefore the show’s official video game. In the game, starting with character selection, the player takes on fun challenges exactly like in the TV show.

Set design and characters were faithfully recreated in pixel art, as were the six game mechanics: bolos humanos, bicho dance, tartenis, pesca a la vista, pringue stop, huevos splash.

The video game was launched to support promotion of the already very successful show on Spanish TV, focusing on the recognizability of the characters, environments, and set design.

Alongside the release of the video game "La Casa De Los Retos", pixel art stickers of host David Moreno were published, as well as a TV commercial showcasing the video game and the show’s new episodes.

We had a lot of fun working on this project, especially in the pixel art adaptation of the show’s set details and characters; making real environments and characters recognizable in pixel art is a challenge we always enjoy taking on!

Other video games made by Dinobros for Boing TV Italy and Spain

We’ve told you about the ad hoc projects, but there are many video games we adapted for the Spanish market, including some of the most recent: Pelea de bolas de nieve, Pinball Manía, Tiros libres, ¡Feliz cumpleaños, Piolín!, Golf en el bosque.
