Linking the launch of a video game to a calendar event such as Christmas, Easter, or back-to-school is always a great idea when the target is kids. Schools are closed, and access to devices for playing covers a longer time window compared to the school routine. What better time to play?

As with other games created for holidays, the latest video game launched for Easter 2023 is "Imposter Rabbit," a video game developed for the website and app of the children’s TV channel Boing TV Italy and Spain, starring Bugs Bunny, one of the iconic characters from the "Looney Tunes".

"Imposter Rabbit" from episode to video game

Why "Imposter Rabbit"? The title of the video game takes from that of the "Looney Tunes" episode we used as inspiration to create the video game mechanics.

In the "Looney Tunes" episode, the rabbit Bugs Bunny meets the Easter Bunny and discovers that he is captured by the scout leader eagle, so he decides to help him.

Our video game starts right here! The kidnapping of the Easter Bunny kicks off an adventurous egg hunt, in which the player steps into Bugs Bunny’s shoes and has a precise task: collect as many baskets of colorful eggs as possible while avoiding obstacles.

Obstacles, as we were saying. Yes, the player will find quite a few in this video game! Suspension bridges, jumping crocodiles, snakes, drones, and ropes, but also TNT barrels ready to explode!

Three lives available and a very useful tool to use: the burrow!

Bugs Bunny can take shelter underground to avoid obstacles, and if you find the burrow along the way, run into it because you can bypass the obstacle and continue along the path.

Did you get excited just from hearing about the video game mechanics, right? All that’s left is for you to go play: just visit the Boing TV website or open the Boing App, where in the “Pixel Games by The Oluk” section you can play this fun Easter egg hunt.
